Ditch the Car and Take a Bus to Your Next Hike

No, Denver is not in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and yes, you will need a car to get there. Or do you? Thanks to an ever-expanding mass transit system in the Denver metro area, it’s now possible to take a bus—or a combination of light rail trains and buses—to trailheads east or west of the Mile High City.

See how you can combine a hike with a transportation adventure in my latest Denver Post article. There are trails reachable by mass transit along the Sand Creek Greenway, as well as in Boulder, Golden, and other Denver suburbs.
