About mindy

Mindy Sink got her start in journalism working for The New York Times Rocky Mountain Bureau in Denver. Here she honed her skills doing research, reporting, getting the facts right and always meeting the deadline. She covered breaking news, health, science, and technology, writing for all sections of the esteemed paper.

She took that training and craft into a new career as a freelance journalist and author: to date she has been an author or co-author of six books. Her focus is on the best of local—farmers, chefs, hotels, sights, you name it—to give her readers an authentic experience when going out in Denver and other cities along the Front Range of Colorado. Most recently, Mindy worked with her daughter on a guidebook, adding a new voice to her work.

Mindy is also a communications strategist, content writer, editor and social media manager for an international healthcare company. “I enjoy thinking of different ways to tell a story and promote content,” she says.
